Have you ever had to finish with a piece of thread because even though there is enough to do the last 2 stitches you know there will not be enough left at the back to be able to tuck away under your stitches ?

Well if like me you are sick of having to use a new piece just to do a couple of stitches you need a ‘tail tucker’

The 1st time I tried this I could not believe how much of a difference it made.

The smallest of threads becomes easy to pick up with this fine needle & the beads at the end give you something to get a firm hold of when pulling your thread through.

People ask me … what’s a tail tucker for ? How do you use one ?

Sorry my video is a bit iffy but I took a slice out of my hand with a rotary blade the week before doing this & this was filmed with my work flat not on its usual stand.

It’s simple

1. Work to the end of your thread, as you can see here I only leave a little ‘tail’

2. Thread your tucker through the stitches you want to use to hold the tail

3. Thread the tail through the tucker

4. Remove needle your thread is on.

5. Pull tucker & thread back under the stitches

6. Snip off anything you may have left poking out 👍

Easy 👍

Easy peasy because the eye is so large its easy to thread no matter how small the thread end.
